Low Profile Precision Scales

SMD Sensors' low profile precision scales offer capacities from 0.1 to 1000 lbs with ±0.05% accuracy including non-linearity, non-repeatability, and percentage-per-year drift. Options include splash resistance, RF immunity, overload protection, and custom materials.

Model W130

Medical Diagnostic Scale — 8 kg

The W130 is an 8 kg low profile scale designed for medical instrumentation. Built on SMD's proprietary thin-film load cell technology with a full Wheatstone bridge and custom calibration electronics, it delivers ±0.05% accuracy over time. The low profile design integrates cleanly into diagnostic equipment, analyzers, and lab instruments.

Choosing the Right Scale

Which scale is right for your application?

Capacity and form factor drive most scale selection decisions. Use these starting points — or contact our engineering team for a custom design consultation.

If you need

Small reagent or waste monitoring

Start with

W100

450 g capacity, compact footprint, ±0.05% accuracy, overload protected.

If you need

Reagent bottle or large container weighing

Start with

W110 / W120

2.8–3 kg capacity, splash resistant, RF immunity option for diagnostic environments.

If you need

Medical analyzer integration, 8–9 kg

Start with

W130 / W140

Low profile design fits medical instrumentation; W140 adds analyzing system support.

If you need

Hanging IV bag or fluid monitoring

Start with
